Audit Senior, Assurance Services

You’ll help our clients meet their reporting requirements by accurately reporting on financial statements and providing meaningful insights into accounting and reporting matters. Within your role, you'll actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships, execute complex assurance procedures, supervise junior engagement team members and help define the audit strategy. Working under the supervision of assurance managers and senior managers, you'll help execute our work and present its findings to the client. Your key responsibilities
Everything you’ll do will come back to providing exceptional audit activities for our clients. Colleagues and clients from a diverse array of backgrounds will look to you first for answers, so you’ll be a high-profile contact when it comes to resolving complex issues. As you build your knowledge and experience, you’ll become a credible advisor, influencing clients and engagement teams on resolutions that will impact entire industries. Working closely with colleagues, you'll determine whether the work plan is properly executed, documented and concluded. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, will coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.

Supporting the planning, executing and delivering in assurance engagements
Working effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress
Assisting in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel
Building strong internal relationships within EY Assurance and across other services
Understanding our clients' unique ambitions and needs and referring them to colleagues in other teams and areas to broaden our business relationships where possible
Coaching, supervising and conducting performance review and contributing to performance feedback for staff
Contributing to people initiatives, including recruiting and retaining assurance professionals
Maintaining an educational program to continually develop personal skills of all staff
Understanding and following workplace policies and procedures
To qualify for the role you must have
Graduates from Finance/Audit/Economics/Accounting
Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques
3 years of relevant work experience
Experience of the entire audit process
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
Ideally, you'll aslo have
Understanding of Q&RM procedures
Understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies
Compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements
Good written and verbal knowledge of Azerbaijani, English and Russian
Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
ACCA qualified or ACCA student with at least (F1, F2, F3, F7) papers
